Terms

Terms of supply.

These terms apply to a building ordered from us. They do not apply to a place on the 2027 list, which is free, takes no money and creates no contract. Under review by our solicitor before the first order.

Who we areDatum Steel Buildings. Full company details are stated on every written price.
PricesAll prices are in pounds sterling, exclude VAT and are guide prices until we confirm a fixed written price after a site check. A written price is valid for 30 days.
The 2027 listA place on the list is free. No money is taken, no build order is accepted and either side may walk away at any time. A place holds your position in order and your written price for 30 days from the date we issue it.
Payment30% when your build starts, 40% before steel is delivered, 30% on completion. Late payment terms are set out in your written price.
ProgrammeProgramme times are estimates from order, once the base is ready on delivery. We tell you if they change.
Design pack and licenceThe design pack is licensed for one building on one named site. It may not be copied or used for another building without a further licence. The design is valid only on a base built to our drawing. Copyright in the drawings, the model and the calculations stays with us. You get the right to build from them once, on the named site.
Ground and baseYou provide the base to our drawing. Our price assumes standard ground. If the ground differs we tell you before any work starts and agree any change in writing.
Planning and building controlWe supply drawings and calculations. You make the applications and hold the consents.
ChangesAny change after the price is fixed is agreed and priced in writing before it is made.
GuaranteeGuarantee periods are stated in your written price and in the manufacturer warranties passed to you at handover. We do not offer a guarantee beyond those.
LiabilityOur liability is limited to the contract value and is set out in full in your written price. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited in law.
LawThe law of England and Wales for a site in Great Britain, the law of Northern Ireland for a site in Northern Ireland, and the law of the Republic of Ireland for a site in the Republic.
